Personal:
Evelyn Wenzel began counseling as part of
a pastoral counseling team in her community. She spoke at women's meetings
and retreats. Evelyn
returned to school and obtained a master's degree in clinical social work. She
has extensive experience in grief, adolescent issues, coping with chronic
illnesses and sexual abuse issues.
Experience:
Evelyn Wenzel, LCSW, developed a program for
residential adolescent substance abusers at Twelve Oaks Rehabilitation Center.
Besides program development, she provided individual and group therapy. Prior to
working at this residential facility, Evelyn served as a consultant for the
Atwell Center in Naples, a substance abuse treatment center. Evelyn also
worked at New Life Outpatient Clinic, a counseling group with offices
nationwide. There she specialized in eating disorders, sexual abuse, adolescent
issues and marriage counseling. While living in Naples, FL, Evelyn gained
a variety of different experiences in the field of counseling which included
geriatric counseling, adolescent and adult women's sexual abuse groups, grief
