Cathy is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern and specializes in working with families, couples, teens, and women to help them find solutions to the personal challenges they face. Cathy has been married for over 30 years and draws on the knowledge she has gained to help her client’s find hope and healing, while regaining their own personal strength. Having raised a child with ADHD and Pervasive Development Disorder, she understands the challenges that parents face in dealing with a special needs child and the support system they require to manage. She has the ability to quickly connect with clients and approaches counseling from a Holistic and Spiritual perspective. Cathy’s clients have described her as honest, trustworthy and genuine as she truly cares about their long-term emotional wellbeing. Utilizing Person Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy, she approaches her clients with empathy, warmth, and compassion and offers each client the individual attention they desire. Her passion is to work with couples and families teaching them to reconnect, and equipping them with the tools to feel empowered to resolve their relationship issues. Cathy has a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Simmons College in Boston, MA, and a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University in Orlando, FL. She has a great love for working with multicultural clients, and recently edited a book about helping business professionals effectively navigate trade in culturally diverse global markets. Her business background, coupled with her counseling experience, has enabled her to help individuals develop a more positive outcome to the emotional issues they face in marriage, parenting and workplace relationships.
