Philosophy of Care

I am trained and certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a powerful, evidence-based therapy that assists individuals in processing and healing from traumatic or distressing experiences. For adults, EMDR is particularly effective in reducing symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, and negative self-beliefs, while fostering a greater sense of peace and empowerment.

When working with children, I frequently incorporate Play Therapy techniques. This developmentally appropriate approach allows children to process their thoughts and feelings through play, helping them express what they may not yet have the words for and providing tools to understand and manage difficult emotions in a safe environment.

I understand how overwhelming it can feel when emotions weigh heavily, whether you’re a child seeking your voice, a teen navigating life’s uncertainties, an adult carrying the weight of past experiences, or a parent searching for support. Angela Repella, M.A, has a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Cairn University. She received her B.S, in Psychology from Judson University and graduated magna cum laude. Since completing her education, Angela has been committed to participating in trainings and lectures to broaden her knowledge and skills.
