Bio

Katherine is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern of Total Life Counseling Center. Katherine has a passion for working with all individuals. Her passion for counseling has been influenced by her travels across the world to many different countries such as Kenya, Ukraine, Honduras, France, and England.

Background

Katherine is the mother of 2 wonderful teenagers. She is a Florida native born and raised in Winter Park with strong ties to the community. Katherine has her psychology degree from the University of Central Florida and her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Palm Beach Atlantic University. Katherine has experience working in the Orange and Seminole County school systems for over 6 years with a heavy emphasis on coaching and school counseling. She volunteers at her church and has previous experience as a child facilitator at New Hope for Kids center for grieving children and adolescents.

Personal Approach

Seeing every client through their individual, unique, and cultural lens is of the utmost importance to Katherine. She is passionate about goal setting and drawing on strengths in her counseling approach. She is a compassionate counselor, dedicated to building rapport and meeting every client’s individual needs. Katherine believes that empathy, communication skills, and collaboration are important components to the counseling process. Katherine uses various modalities and evidence-based interventions in her counseling approach. Katherine’s goal as a counselor is to help clients identify their strengths as they develop tools that will facilitate life change.
