Brandon’s Bio

Background

Brandon grew up in New Jersey and moved to Florida after High School with his family. He felt he needed a fresh start somewhere new to work on himself and strive to reach his true potential. He started by going to college and earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at the University of Central Florida. After earning his Bachelor’s, Brandon began working at a behavioral center with children and adults on the Autism Spectrum. While attending Graduate school he worked as an ESE Teacher at The Paragon School which is a school that serves children with ADHD, Asperger Syndrome, and behavioral issues. Brandon later earned a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University.

Experience/Specialties

Brandon has 6 years of clinical experience and 16 years of experience working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum in various settings. Brandon specializes in ADHD, Asperger Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Vaping addiction, emotional and behavioral difficulties, anxiety, depression, social skills training, and parent training.

Approach

Brandon considers himself a big kid at heart and that is one of the reasons he is able to develop a strong rapport with his clients incorporating humor, games, and sports. Brandon utilizes a wide variety of treatment modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychoeducation, solution-focused therapy, and family therapy. His approach to working with clients is goal-oriented, educational, collaborative, and integrative. Brandon provides children and adolescents with the tools necessary to grow socially, behaviorally, and emotionally.

Brandon is very forthcoming and admits that growing up, he too was a child with difficulties which in turn made it difficult at times for his family. As an adult, he uses those problems he faced as a catalyst for assisting his clients in overcoming whatever obstacles they are facing.
