Orlando PTSD Counselor on Jake Flint’s Death | Trauma and Grief

Orlando PTSD Counselor discussed the sudden loss of country singer Jake Flint, died in his sleep just hours after getting married. He was only 37 years of age and had a sudden death while sleeping. According to his loved ones, he was a friend to all and had an amazing sense of humor. His wife, Brenda Flint, was heartsick and expressed the pain she was enduring through social media. The extent of her loss has caused her ultimate grief and unbearable damage. 

While this tragic circumstance sounds unlikely for most, plenty of us have experienced suffering that is similar and has probably provoked a high degree of trauma. 

According to the National Library of Medicine, instances of traumatic loss may develop into posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Likewise, these experiences, if not treated, can become persistent and induce depression. 

Fortunately, we can cope with these emotions in a number of ways, including being mindful of our thoughts.
