Education:  Steve completed his M.S. in Counseling Psychology at Palm Beach Atlantic University and his B.S in Psychology from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Steve is also an adjunct professor at Strayer University teaching psychology.

Experience: Steve has specialized training with children and adults in the area of sports psychology.  Steve received a scholarship from the University of Central Florida to play tennis at the collegiate level. In 1988 he received a special award for the best win loss record for the year. Steve has worked with top players in the world in the area of sports psychology such as Mardy Fish, Michael Russell, and Jim Courier, formerly ranked number 1 in the world. Steve has been a certified pro with the U.S.P.T.A. since 1991 and is currently the Director of Tennis at the Lake Mary Tennis Center in Lake Mary Florida since 2001.

  • Steve has counseled children in the public school system through psych-educational group methods. At the public schools he has taught children to manage emotions properly and set goals for success in the future.
  • Through the use of play therapy Steve has taught children effective ways to build relationships and understand the concept of the importance of the team aspect.
  • Steve has had experience at the clinical level with Seminole Community Mental Health Center counseling children with focusing issues and recommendation with psychiatrists as far as correct diagnosis for treatment.
  • Steve worked With L.G.E. performance systems in Lake Nona, Florida with professionals from the A.T.P. Tour to establish peak performance through the use of Mental Toughness Programs.

Community Involvement:  Steve is currently involved with the Seminole County school system to help underprivileged children learn social skills and ways to manage emotions effectively by use of relaxation techniques. Steve’s goal with this outreach program is to enable students to accomplish personal and future professional goals through action steps.

Personal:  Steve, his wife Vanessa, and son Benjamin, are passionate about leading the next generation to success by teaching and mentoring those who are less fortunate.
