Janie was born and raised in upstate New York. She moved from the small town she grew up in to attend Long Island University. She then later moved to Florida where she went on to obtain a B.S. degree in Management from the University of Central Florida, and a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University. Janie also has certifications in small business and marketing.
Janie's Philosophy:
Janie believes that everyone has a story. These stories give meaning and purpose to the chaos of everyday life. Janie believes that people can get stuck in their life with unhealthy coping mechanisms, unhealed past traumas or wounds deep inside themselves. Janie invites people to take a journey with her to discover their own life story by helping them make connections with their behavior and needs, recognize the patterns, as well as why they have developed those patterns. Janie’s passion is to walk alongside individuals as they face past wounds to create healing in their lives.

Experience
- Instructing: Janie is a professor with Axia College with the University of Phoenix.
- Equipping: Janie has invested in the lives of others, equipping and
empowering them through public speaking, leadership training, educational
instruction and small group ministry.
- Counseling: She has counseled individuals, couples and families in not-for-profit organizations, private practice, experiential learning camps and equestrian programs.
- Social Skills Training: She currently assists with Total Life's weekly social skills program for elementary and middle school aged children.
- Seminars: Janie facilitates Total Life's monthly 8 Hour Anger Management Workshops and has facilitated workshops and seminars on topics such as leadership, personal growth, and high risk behaviors to name a few.
- Leadership Coaching: She also draws upon her experience in business settings such as financial institutions, the medical field, and the hospitality industry to coach business professionals.
